The Very First One

Last Friday I had the opportunity to second-shoot with a local photographer at a wedding in Miami Beach. First and foremost I want to thank Becca of Becca Borge Photography . Words can not express how grateful I am of her for allowing me to have that experience and giving me the chance to learn! Not many professionals give back the way she did for me, and I will forever be grateful to have had that opportunity. The wedding was held at The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach. It was a small wedding, about 50 guests. The bride and groom are both musician and composed+recorded their own music for the ceremony. How cool is that!?

This was my very first time shooting a wedding. I was nervous. It felt like the first day at a new school and you don’t really know what to do or what to expect. I wasn’t getting paid and was assured there was no pressure to produce anything, so there was no reason to be nervous, but I was! Becca was very patient with me. She allowed me to ask questions throughout the day and was happy to answer them.  I had a lot, and I mean A LOT of bad photos! But I had more turn out than I had expected.  I was satisfied with the results considering I had not photographed an event like this before. I only have one lens (50mm), too, that I shot this event with.  Hope you enjoy the pictures!
