A couple of weeks ago I headed down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, for the first time, for Karl+Kelley’s wedding. They rented a beach house down there for the weekend. It was the perfect place for their small, intimate, family oriented ceremony. It was pretty cloudy and threatening rain that morning but soon it cleared up and ended up being a beautiful afternoon! The ceremony and wedding party portraits were supposed to take place out on the beach, but there were 100 mph winds. Well, maybe not 100 mph, but it sure felt like it! All worked out though and their ceremony went off without a hitch inside the living off the beach house. Kelley’s four children all took part in the ceremony, as well. Surrounded by very close friends and family, Karl+Kelley exchanged vows. After the ceremony, we decided to bare the wind and whipping sand to take some romantic, beach pictures as the sun was starting to set. Let me tell you, Kelley was a trooper. That wind was COLD! She looked absolutely gorgeous though!!! Her dress was perfect and flowed so beautifully in the wind. I kept thinking ‘Greek Goddess’ every time the wind picked up the train of her dress.
