For those of you who might not know I love to bake! Yesterday, my amazing pastry chef friend, Melissa, and I got together to make macaroons. It was my first time trying my hand at these. We tried a recipe from the Bouchon Bakery cookbook. Let me tell you, not as easy to perfect as you would think…..even when following the recipe to a ‘T’. We decided to make raspberry, lemon and PB&J flavors. The cookies for our raspberry (pink) batch didn’t seem to bake correctly and the PB&J (purple) cookies cracked like crazy and were flat. The lemon ones turned out ok. Even though they weren’t perfect, aesthetically, they all tasted DE-LICIOUS! I may or may not have had a couple for breakfast this morning. 🙂 We decided to do a little photo-op in Melissa’s backyard when we were done. Then we enjoyed a few with some coffee! Yum!
