Chris and Mary are the winners of the 3rd annual wedding giveaway and I could not be more excited to share their seaside engagement session with you all! It was an early 2 am start the day of their session as I got in the car and headed up to Sunset Island in Ocean City, Maryland where Chris’ parents live. Katelyn of Haddy Ever After Events is also part of the giveaway and she wanted to meet the couple in person, as well. I am grateful she made the early morning ride with me because I was struggling to stay awake on the way home. I am not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination but getting up for a sunrise session was worth it. There is a reason I schedule sessions for sunrise or a couple of hours before sunset. The light is beautiful! The tones and feel of these images would look completely different in the same spots if it was closer to sunset. Thank goodness for a wash the day before and the only option was rescheduling for sunrise the next day. Their seaside wedding is in the spring at Lighthouse Sound, just across the water from the pier we were on. Can’t wait to see what Lauren Perry Studio comes up with for their custom invitations!
