The weather the day of Valerie + Seth’s engagement session was a major roller coaster. It was all over the place. 35% to 20% to 55% to 100% to 0% chance of rain during the time we were planning to shoot. Woah! It changed so many times in the span of the three hours before we were to begin. We lucked out, though. The rains had come and gone by the time we started and it left the most gorgeous, soft light! All the vegetation was fresh and green. This was my first time shooting in Yorktown. Most clients tend to want to stay in the lower part of Hampton Roads and I am so grateful these two wanted to head up north. It is always inspiring shooting somewhere new. Between the quaint historical buildings, little courtyards, and riverfront Yorktown offers a great variety for photographs. Enjoy some of my favorites from their session. Cute puppy alert ahead! Can’t wait for Valerie + Seth’s wedding at Cousiac Manor in Lanexa, Virginia later this year.
