Last week I had an awesome opportunity to attend WPPI, a wedding photography conference, in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was my first time attending the conference and my first time in Nevada. I have visited every state around Nevada and so it was fun to check it off my bucket list. My friend and fellow photographer, Beth, came with me, and we had a great time. It was a very inspiring trip! Really motivating. It was even more incredible to finally meet and talk to other photographers that I look up to and follow their work. Talk about photog-celebrity sightings!
We were pretty busy most of the week going to classes and ‘getting our learn on’, but the last two days in Nevada we had time to walk around and be tourists. I am working on some personal images from my time there to post for you, but I first wanted to share these. The last day we decided to rent a car and get out of the Strip. Later in the afternoon we headed to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. This is a scenic drive that has pull-off areas to park and hike. Such a beautiful landscape. Not only do you have the desert ecosystem, but also these majestic rock formations in hues of red and cream. It was fun to be shoot portraits in a new location. The light was so soft and the sunset was gorgeous!
