Natalie + Aaron’s wedding day didn’t turn out as planned. It rained. Then it hailed. Then more torrential downpours! Luckily, right before the ceremony ended the rain stopped and we had some really pretty cloud-covered light for portraits! As a photographer, I could not have asked for a better plan.
These two love birds were married in the historic St. Luke’s Church. It is a beautiful brick church that was built in 1632 and is located in Smithfield, Virginia. Up until Natalie + Aaron’s wedding, they did not allow photography during the ceremony. A month before the big day I received an exciting e-mail from Natalie that they were changing their policy and non-flash photography was now allowed! I am so glad they were able to have pictures from their ceremony. After the ceremony we headed to Cedar Point Country Club in Suffolk for a detail filled reception.
Thank you to Natalie + Aaron for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It means so much!
And a thank you to my assistant, Kristine, for stepping in puddles up to our ankles and running around in the pouring rain with me!
