Jasmine + Davon were very recently engaged and Jasmine was going to be visiting the week between Christmas and New Years. She had contacted me just a couple of weeks before her visit and I am so glad I was available. What a sweet couple! As busy as I was at the time, I just had this gut feeling I needed to work with them. Not having a couple of extra vacation days between the holidays was totally worth it! Even though it was last minute, Jasmine heeded my advice and set up an appointment with the talented Dhalia Edwards to have her makeup professionally done for her session. It really makes such a difference!
This session started a little bit differently, too. Davon had no clue they were having their portraits taken! Jasmine had his clothes picked out for him and planned for a family member to watch their child. Now, most men don’t enjoy having their pictures taken (I know, I am married to one of them). However, Davon was such a team player and I did not hear one groan or moan about being there, especially with it being a surprise. It was a perfect time for just the two of them to be sweet on each other since they currently live in different states. The minute I told Davon to give Jasmine a little squeeze her face turned into this soft “I am so in love with this man” expression. They are my favorites from their engagement session!
